Topic: “Discussion on KIF1A and visual impairment”

KIF1A- associated neurological disorder (KAND) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder caused by mutations in the KIF1A gene. One of the most common symptoms seen in KAND patients is vision problems. The discussion will focus on how KIF1A dysfunction could affect the cells and circuits of the visual system.
