Kayla Collins, M.A., NCC

Kayla Collins, M.A., NCC is a pre-licensed professional counselor at the Center for Weight and Eating Disorders. She received her B.S. in Counseling and Human Services along with additional B.A. degrees in Theology & Religious Studies and Philosophy from the University of Scranton. She received her M.A. in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University. Kayla is currently working under supervision pending her LPC licensure for the state of Pennsylvania (anticipated in 2024).

Kayla serves as a clinical interventionist for participants in the STABLE Weight Loss study. She provides individual treatment of eating disorders, obesity, and body image disturbance utilizing evidence-based treatment including cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy. In addition, she conducts psychological evaluations of patients seeking bariatric surgery through the University of Pennsylvania Health System under supervision. Kayla’s clinical interests include treatment and prevention of eating disorders, behavioral weight loss, lifestyle counseling, and co-occurrence of eating disorders and other mental illnesses.
