Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion

Allison Lee, MD, MS is Vice Chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and is a Professor of Clinical Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Lee was appointed to the VC role in March 2024, after having transitioned to Penn in January 2024. She takes over the role from Dr. Meghan Lane-Fall.

As a vice chair, she will continue to work with the chair and other vice chairs to advance the department’s goals, including ensuring equity in clinical care and education, diversifying the clinical and non-clinical workforce, and fostering a welcoming and inclusive workplace. A top priority will be expanding the membership and reach of the departmental committee for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Antiracism (IDEA).
