Juneteenth Panel Discussion on Housing Inequity in Black & Brown Communities

Part of the Juneteenth celebration at the 16th Annual Philadelphia Juneteenth Festival hosted by Johnson House Historic Site. Join our panelist discussion on housing inequities and stopping the loss of generational wealth in Black and Brown communities, facilitated by Beth Gonzales.

Panelists include:

  • Hon. Tracey L. Gordon, Register of Wills
  • Tonie Willis, Executive Director of Ardella's House

The LIVE event will be at Germantown Mennonite Historic Trust located at 6133 Germantown Avenue.  The virtual event will be presented on Philadelphia Juneteenth Fest Facebook Live.

MAC Juneteenth Community Festival

The Millennial Advisory Committee (MAC) is organizing its 2nd Annual Juneteenth Festival - a celebration of Black stories and community.

It will be held at the Martin Luther King Recreation Center from 2pm-5pm on June 18, and will feature a Black Millennial Business Stroll, speeches/remarks from local Millennial leaders/activists, music, and refreshments.

The Mayor’s Commission on Faith-Based and Interfaith Affairs invites you to Rising Up For Reparations, a vibrant, multi-faith event that proclaims the urgent call for true redistributive justice for Black Philadelphians.

Our hosts, WDAS’ Patty Jackson and WHYY’s Christopher Norris, will welcome special guests who will charge us to commit one-by-one, congregation-by-congregation, to work for the complete and final abolition of slavery.
