On March 8th, Denise Rodgers MD, the Vice Chancellor for Inter-professional Programs at Rutgers University and the final President of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey delivered a powerful talk about how the social determinants of health have been created and shaped by individual and structural racism. Co-sponsored by the CPUP Anti-Racism Committee and the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health, Dr Rodgers shared insights that have emerged from her career-spanning work striving for equity.
