A prominent silhouette in the Philadelphia skyline, the 531,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art Smilow Center for Translational Research (SCTR) was described as “the envy of the nation’s most prestigious research scientists,” by National Institutes of Health (NIH) Director Francis S. Collins, MD, PhD, at the building’s 2011 dedication. The Smilow Commons area is ideal for exhibit viewing and participant dining. It also provides an informal space for faculty and participants to gather.
