Celebratory Oct. 30, 2013 PASEF-ASEF Emeritus Reception
Sweeten Alumni House on a brightly colored, tree-lined Locust Walk was a wonderful campus setting for our 2013 Emeritus Reception honoring the new faculty retirees. The event was jointly organized by ASEF and PASEF, and 28 faculty from 5 schools (PSOM, SAS, Wharton, Dental and Veterinary) and 20 departments were honored for their highly impressive career achievements and contributions to the University of Pennsylvania. President of PASEF, Rob Roy MacGregor, introduced Dr. Anita Allen, Vice Provost for Faculty, who extended her enthusiastic greeting to the attendees and a special congratulations to the honorees. Following was presentation of the retiring faculty by ASEF President Anna Meadows and PASEF Past-President Ross Webber who gave a brief citation of each emeriti's accomplishments. There was a full house of faculty, family and friends who joined in applause of their colleagues and remained to enjoy the wide selection of hot and cold d'oeuvres and wine at the reception.
