University Campus Housing

We have a limited block of single-occupancy bed spaces in a dormitory on the University of Pennsylvania’s campus for participants and attendees of the Britton Chance Symposium between 7/16/2024 and 7/20/2024. Please note we ask attendees to register for the symposium before booking University Housing arrangements. Booking information is included in the registration confirmation. 

There is a three-night minimum per reservation. These air-conditioned, multi-occupancy suites with private bedrooms and shared living space are available at $70.00 (plus 15.5% Occupancy Tax [$10.85] = $80.85) per person per night. Guests are responsible for an additional, one-time, non-refundable $10.00 application fee due at the time of reservation.

 Reservations include complimentary guest Wi-Fi and a full linen pack of one XL twin bed sheet, pillow, blanket, (2) bath towels, and washcloth. Please note individuals are responsible for returning the complete linen pack at check-out. Bedspaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The general layout of the suite consists of 3 to 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a living space. All suites are the same gender. Specific College Houses/ Buildings, kitchen spaces, and/or suitemate requests are not guaranteed. All reservations must be made by June 16, 2024, unless our group block fills sooner.

Reservation and Cancellation Policy: All reservations must be paid with a valid credit card before the resident arrives. A photo ID is needed during check-in. Individuals must personally check-in. Temporary University ID cards are required for any stay on campus and must be returned at checkout. The temp card fee is $29.00. Additional fees apply for lost or stolen cards. Failure to formally check out at the designated location will be charged an additional night unless prior arrangements have been made. Cancellation fees and bank transaction charges will be the individual's responsibility.

Additional University Guidelines:

• Guests must be 18 years and older to stay in university housing
• No pets of any kind are permitted in the facilities
• Inappropriate use of the internet is strictly prohibited
• No weapons, pyrotechnics, candles, flammable substances, high electrical appliances, and/or sound equipment are permitted
• Guests are not permitted to engage in any commercial or fundraising activity on or about the facilities
• Guests must comply with all University Policies, including, without limitation, those relating to drugs, alcohol, and smoking
• The University is not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property belonging to guests

Please note - campus housing is for the registered conference participant only.   Non-registered conference participants will not be permitted to stay in campus housing.

Your total balance due is based on your length of stay (number of nights)

There is a non-refundable $10.00 application fee and a $29.00 charge for your access card (used as a key to enter the on-campus housing building and your room).

The accommodation rate is $70.00USD per person, per night + 15.5% Occupancy Tax.
