Welcome to the Penn Frameworks!

The Penn Frameworks project aims to provide medical students, allied health professionals, and other learners with an aid in organizing medical information and creating differential diagnoses in a way that is easy to remember and which alludes to underlying pathophysiologic principles.

Disclaimer: This site serves as an educational resource, and in no way substitutes for consultation with a medical professional. All attempts have been made to provide up-to-date, accurate information, but we have purposefully limited our frameworks to those diagnoses felt to be most useful to early-stage clerkship medical students, and therefore no attempts were made to present an exhaustive list of diagnoses. This website is not affiliated with any clinical practice or hospital, it is solely for use as an educational resource. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911. For any health concerns, please reach out to your doctor.

This is a resource by/for medical students (and other learners). This is a work we hope to improve/expand - we welcome all feedback!
