Publications
Investigators who have used the services of the UPenn HTSC or its associated equipment agree to acknowledge the support of UPenn High-throughput Screening Core, RRID: SCD_022379, in publications arising from your use of the facility.
For all work, including collaborative projects, please add the following to the acknowledgements section:
“We thank the UPenn High-throughput screening core, RRID: SCD_022379, for their assistance with [specific details of service].“
For collaborative projects where the UPenn HTSC has made an important intellectual contribution to the project, as determined by generally accepted criteria for academic collaborations, then HTSC staff should be considered for authorship on the publication. Please discuss this with the HTSC during preparations.
In addition, please notify the Core Directors prior to submission of manuscripts that utilize any services from the HTSC, including assay design, optimization, instrument usage, data acquisition, analysis or interpretation, and acknowledge contributions by the UPenn High-throughput Screening Core, RRID: SCD_022379 (authorship and acknowledgements section). This is important for us to highlight to impact of the core on science to PSOM leadership.
Grants
The Core Directors encourage investigators to collaborate with the Core when submitting grants that propose a screening project. Core Directors will assess the scope of project to ensure it fits within the capabilities of the core, provide a Budget to cover the direct costs of the proposed screening project, provide technical writing for the proposed screening project to be included with the Experimental Approach and a Letter of Support. Investigators are encouraged to contact the Core Directors at least one month in advance of the submission deadline.
