Interventional Radiology Interest Group (IRIG)

What is IR?

Interventional radiologists use and develop image-guided, minimally invasive approaches to diagnose and treat a wide variety of conditions in nearly every organ system. Many therapeutic approaches used by other fields such as cardiology, vascular surgery, and nephrology were pioneered by IR, and this field continues to be at the forefront of device and therapy development. If see yourself as creative or inventive, like working with your hands or solving problems, or enjoy treating a diverse patient population, you should consider exploring IR. Check out the videos on this page and visit our other pages to find out how you can get involved.
