Center For HealthCare Improvement and Patient Safety (CHIPS) - Medical Student Summer Internship
The Center for Healthcare Improvement & Patient Safety (CHIPS) is accepting applications for its Medical Student Summer Internship. Penn CHIPS offers a summer internship opportunity for one or two Perelman School of Medicine students in the summer between their first and second year of medical school. During the 10-week program, the selected candidate receives an introduction to the field of healthcare quality and safety (QS) and participates in an immersion experience within the Center for Healthcare Quality Analytics (CHQA) at CHOP. The immersion experience will provide the intern with practical experiences and hands-on work, including analytical and facilitation support for various QS projects and teams, and exposure to various active QS daily work activities, programs, and projects. Compensation is a $4,000 stipend provided by Penn CHIPS. This is a CHOP-Penn Medicine internship and is geared to all interns regardless of the medical field they are deciding on. Any internship questions should be directed to Dr. Neha Patel. For more information, visit the CHIPS website.
