Step UP

The Step UP platform is a resource for faculty, staff, and students at the University of Pennsylvania.  Step UP provides a marketplace for project leads to match with interested helpers and foster interdisciplinary collaboration.

Access Step UP by using your PennKey login.
 

For PSOM Students:

How do I use the platform?

Students are encouraged to create a profile by going to the Helpers tab and click on 'Add yourself!'  As a helper, you can reach out to the project lead once you see a project in need of a helper with your skill set.  Helpers will also be notified of new projects.  Browse the Projects tab and use the filters to target your search. 

For PSOM Faculty:

How do I add an opportunity?

If you have a specific project, please go to the Project tab and click on 'Create a new project'.  If you are interested in mentoring students, please go to the Mentors tab and click on 'Add yourself as a faculty/mentor'.  As a project lead, you can filter for certain skills you are looking for and reach out to project helpers found in the Helpers tab.

If you have questions or need help while using Step UP, click on the chat icon in the bottom right corner of the screen for assistance.  A member of the team will respond in the chat box in a couple of minutes or via email within a few hours.
