Training Programs

PNGC is committed to train the next generation of scientists and leaders in genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, biostatistics, and biology of neurodegenerative disorders and related areas of research. The Center provides educational opportunities through collaboration with faculty, participation in international and nationwide scientific projects, and other training programs at the University of Pennsylvania. 

PNGC is developing a integrated training programs for postdocs, staff, graduate and undergraduate students. The planned activities include:

  • Seminar series
  • Annual retreat
  • Journal club and brainstorming sessions 
  • Training in grant writing 
  • Mentoring programs for postdocs 

These activities supplement the current postdocs and graduate programs at the Perelman School of Medicine. Trainees have opportunities to take courses, workshops, and career services provided by Penn. Please check back or send us a email to
