Welcome to the White Laboratory
We're virologists and cancer biologists who study how human papillomaviruses interact with and alter the host cellular environment. Our goal is to understand how viruses cause cancer and impact immune responses.
New lab members
The White Lab has welcomed several new members recently. William Blakely, PhD, joined the lab as a postdoctoral fellow in November 2020. Paola Castagnino, PhD, is a senior research scientist who joined the lab in February 2021. First year CAMB-MVP student Madeline Merlino rotated with us for 10 weeks beginning in January 2021. Great to have you, everyone!
The lab has been busy this fall. We are proud to announce that Joshua was awarded an NIH F31 fellowship and Joangela undertook outreach efforts by serving as a panelist for several important discussions. Elizabeth gave virtual seminars at UNC-Chapel Hill and at Indiana University. Check out the Lab News page for details.
