Patricia M. Furlan, PhD

Patricia M. Furlan, PhD is a staff psychologist and instructor. She completed her PhD at the University of Pennsylvania, her clinical internship at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a postdoctoral fellowship in medical psychiatric co-morbidity at the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center before joining the Center for Cognitive Therapy. Dr. Furlan's research has been published in numerous journals, including Biological Psychiatry and Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences and she has lectured nationally on the relationship between physical and psychiatric disorders. Her research and clinical interests focus on the relationship between stress and psychiatric illness, the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, relationship issues, and the treatment of psychiatric symptoms in individuals with medical disorders.
