on in addition.
- Would you recommend this institution to other Penn
medical students? Why?
Yes, Botswana is a great country to live in and it is in
a fascinating part of the world. The project offered me
a lot of autonomy and the staff were enjoyable to work with.
- What did you not like?
There is not a lot of supervision, so you need to be fairly
self-sufficient
- Is there an application process for this institution?
How does one arrange a visit? Are there important dates
to know about?
Yes, please see AMSA website.
- What costs were associated with the trip, other than
transportation. Please include institutional fees, housing
costs, food, etc.:
CDC pays for plane fare and housing. Otherwise, student
pays for everything else.
- Did you receive funding for this trip? If so, from
whom and for how much? Please provide important information,
such as contacts, application procedure, and due dates:
Just from CDC. However, another student got money from
Dr. Larsen for some elective.
