Lead Psychiatrist, Clinical Services for Adult ADHD at the Perelman School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry

Shazia A. Savul, MD, provides comprehensive evaluations for ADHD and medication management through the ADHD General Psychiatry (GAP) Clinic and the Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic (OPC) as attending psychiatrist at the Perelman School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry.

Dr. Savul is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general adult, child and adolescent, and addiction psychiatry. She completed her general psychiatry training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) Robert Wood Johnson/Cooper Hospital program, where she served as a chief resident. She completed her fellowships in child and adolescent psychiatry and addiction psychiatry at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center.

Dr. Savul’s work includes the clinical assessment and treatment of patients at the Charles O’ Brien Center for Addictions at the University of Pennsylvania, and she has been involved in didactics and teaching of residents and fellows. Her research interests include the neurobiology of ADHD and addictions, and the comorbidity of ADHD and substance use disorders.
