Research
Our laboratory studies multiple aspects of cancer biology using pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) as a model. Our work is guided by the overriding principle that the makeup of the tumor microenvironment (TME) is governed by tumor cell intrinsic factors. Consequently, we study interactions between cancer cells and stromal cells (particularly immune cells), cancer cell plasticity, and metastasis. Current efforts in the laboratory seek to guide new therapeutic approaches, including pairing of anti-cancer drugs with immunotherapy. In vivo models, including lineage tracing tools, form a key component of our research platform.
