Provide feedback and ideas for Clinical Research Week 2025.

The Office of Clinical Research in partnership with the PSOM Society of Clinical Research Professionals hosted a weeklong celebration of our Clinical Research Professionals (CRPs) to observe the International Clinical Trials Awareness Day during the week of May 20, 2024. Clinical Research Week is designed to demonstrate our unwavering support of our >1,200 Clinical Research Professionals and to celebrate their contributions. 

We hosted Research Recruitment tables on May 21st (Pavilion building lobby at 1:30PM) and May 22nd (SMILOW, 9am- 4PM), to speak with patients, families, caregivers about research studies and handed out flyers.

TUESDAY, MAY 21

Seminar "Community Engagement Matters" (in person event)

As part of Clinical Research Week; Penn Medicine and Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)  collaborated to host an in-person seminar titled “Community Engagement Matters” on May 21st 2024.

This seminar highlighted community-based clinical research studies and projects at Penn and CHOP, and related resources. Speakers were Penn and CHOP clinical research investigators and their teams. The event included a moderated panel discussion with Penn and CHOP research teams, patient/ family partners and community advocates.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 22

CREATE Award ceremony (in person event)

Exemplary clinical research professionals were nominated for excellence across multiple essential roles in clinical research conduct. The refined categories of awards for clinical research professional staff reflect the SPCRP’s commitment to inclusivity and representation of the skilled professionals who make the institution’s research advancements possible. The winners were honored at the first annual CREATE Award Ceremony on May 22, 2024 with accolades from their peers and a luncheon.
