Patient Reported Outcomes

Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) are a specific type of health outcome measure that relies on information provided directly by patients regarding their health, symptoms, and quality of life. These outcomes are typically collected through surveys, questionnaires, wearable data, pill diaries, or symptom diaries which patients complete themselves in or outside the clinic. When this data is collected electronically through web-based platforms or mobile applications, it is referred to as electronic patient-reported outcomes, or ePRO.

ePRO options at Penn include Penn Medicine’s Way to Health (W2H); REDCap Twilio integration; TrialX's xPAND mobile application platform.
