Principal Investigator (PI) Training
A Principal Investigator is responsible for the preparation, conduct, and administration of a research grant, cooperative agreement, training or public service project, contract, or other sponsored project in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and institutional policy governing the conduct of clinical research. The following trainings are highly recommended for all Principal Investigators(PI) of clinical trials.
If this is your first time conducting a clinical trial, they are required:
- Introduction to Clinical Trials
- The Drug Development Process: ICH E8(1) Considerations for Clinical Trials
- Mastering the Event Reporting Cycle at your site- Understanding your Impact on Patient Safety
- PI supplemental training tool - should not replace required Sponsor or Penn training. To be used by experienced CRPs as supplemental training at the time of SIV to ensure PI’s are best positioned to assume their responsibility.
