DBT Skills Group Only

Services:  We offer 5 standard DBT Skills Groups, 1 LGBTQ+ DBT Skills Group, and 1 DBT Skills Graduate Group. All groups are 2-hours and held weekly.

Time commitment: 6 months

Who we treat: Adults looking to build skills pertaining to mindfulness, emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance.

Inclusion Criteria

  • Invalidating background as well as resulting dysregulation across several of these domains: social, emotional, relational, behavioral
  • Active in individual psychotherapy of any modality at any agency

Exclusion Criteria

Any of the following:

  • Active psychosis
  • An intellectual or cognitive disability that may interfere with skills training
  • Inability to meet attendance requirements
  • Unwillingness or disinterest in change

Comprehensive DBT

Services: Comprehensive DBT is an intensive, multi-modal program that includes:

  • DBT Individual Therapy once a week for 60 minutes
  • DBT Skills Group training once a week for 2 hours
  • Phone coaching with your individual provider
  • 3+ hours of weekly self-directed therapy work

Each DBT provider participates in our consultation team to review cases and ensure adherence to the treatment model.

Time commitment: One year

Who we treat: We offer comprehensive DBT treatment for individuals who are experiencing behavior dysregulation and are looking to make a commitment to skill-building and behavior change. The most common symptoms of behavior dysregulation treated by our comprehensive team are suicidal thoughts and non-suicidal self-injury.

Inclusion Criteria

At least three of the following symptoms, currently, or within the past 6 months:

  • Suicidal ideation, behaviors or attempts
  • Self-injurious behavior (e.g., cutting, burning, scratching, head-banging)
  • Impulsive behaviors (e.g. substance use, aggression, dangerous driving, unsafe sex, binge eating)
  • Frequent and intense mood changes
  • Unstable relationships

Exclusion Criteria

 Any of the following:

  • Active psychosis
  • An intellectual or cognitive disability that may interfere with skills training
  • Inability to meet attendance requirements
  • Unwillingness or disinterest in lowering suicidal or risk behaviors
