Alaska Native Medical Center
United States of America
Glen N. Gaulton, PhD
As an acute, specialty, primary and behavioral health care provider, the Alaska Native Medical Center (ANMC) provides comprehensive medical services to Alaska Native and American Indian people living in Alaska. The center includes a 150-bed hospital, as well as a full range of medical specialties, primary care services and labs. The hospital also works in close partnership with Alaska’s rural health facilities to support a broad range of health care and related services.
If you are a medical student interested in applying for a clinical rotation, please contact Norman Reeves, GME Coordinator for the ANMC and cc Maria Cortese Hering, CGH Asst. Dir. Global Health Training. Include your area(s) of interest and availability.
In addition, thanks to the generous support from Dr. Joan MacCracken MD ’71, 2 medical students each year going to an IHS site or the ANMC for clinical rotations are eligible for the McMac Student Travel Award for Indigenous Health.
