Bio statement

As a HOD Computer Science, I have successfully led research projects including Microsoft-sponsored Digital Inclusion call of 2006 and 2008, a project in the Health sector that led to the establishment of the e-Health research unit in 2012. The unit continues to engage in Health Informatics research and has fostered wide-reaching collaboration within and beyond, NGO’s such as Botswana UPENN, Botswana Harvard Partnerships, CHOP and also with the Government through the Ministry of Health I am also spearheading a number of health-related research projects providing digital solutions under themes of Data Warehousing, Mining, IOT's and Interoperability.

Recent global health projects

1. Principal Investigator of a project entitled . "Evaluating Healthcare Data Collection, Sharing, and Use in Botswana"
2021, in Collaboration with CHOP, USA.
The project aims to understand the flow of healthcare data in Botswana from the front-line clinician through different
levels of reporting and aggregation and eventually back to the front-line clinician if any information is returned. Also
examining the perceptions of those that work with this data to understand their beliefs and views on data collection,
data flow, and data usability for clinical care and decision-making. In order to accomplish an understanding of the data
flow across so many sites, levels of the healthcare system and organizations .

2. Co Leader Microsoft Digital Inclusion Project Call of 2008:A project providing Digital Inclusion Healthcare Solution in
Botswana by use of Mobile phones
to Access HIV/AIDS Information (A Multimedia Approach)
