BIO STATEMENT

Catherine Kulick-Soper is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology specializing in epilepsy and neurophysiologic intraoperative monitoring.  Her academic interests include critical care EEG, with a particular focus on neuroprognostication after cardiac arrest, as well as quality improvement, learning health system initiatives, and global health. Dr. Kulick-Soper has collaborated closely with Dr. Michael Rubenstein and the Foundation for African Medicine and Education (FAME) in Tanzania as both a neurology resident and attending physician. In this role, she provided inpatient and outpatient neurologic care, delivered educational lectures, and partnered with local clinicians to strengthen sustainable neurologic care. She has worked closely with the FAME team to identify system-level barriers and develop educational initiatives to support the implementation of a portable EEG program, expanding access to neurodiagnostic care in a resource-limited setting.
