Charlotte serves as Global Operations Coordinator at The Center for Global Health. In this role, Charlotte works with Penn faculty and their international partners and collaborators to support integrative, multinational public health research and initiatives. Charlotte works primarily with The Botswana-UPenn Partnership (BUP), Penn’s office in Botswana. She supports BUP’s business operations, programming, logistics, and staff relations.
Prior to assuming her role at CGH, Charlotte worked across various institutions and programs to support health equity and access to care. She supported health and education programs for an NGO in Valparaiso, Chile, before creating a government-funded education and integration program for migrants and refugees in the New Orleans area. She was subsequently awarded a US Department of State fellowship for young professionals, during which she developed community health and well-being programs for women and refugees in eastern Germany. Most recently, Charlotte worked for Duke University School of Medicine coordinating interdisciplinary public health studies and initiatives aimed at improving healthcare access and management for chronically ill youth.
Charlotte graduated from Dartmouth College in 2017 with degrees in Psychology and Global Health. While in college, she completed research with the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice that focused on patient/provider communication and equitable access to quality medical care.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys trips and travel of all kinds, exploring new neighborhoods in Philly, hikes and picnics in beautiful nature, and drawing, writing poetry, and people watching in parks.
