BIO STATEMENT

Lisa Hilmi is the Executive Director of CORE Group, based in Washington DC. CORE Group convenes the International Community Health Network, a community of practice fueled by more than 200+ member organizations and individual associates that are champions for community health. Lisa Hilmi has three decades of global health experience in over 25+ countries, addressing health disparities for women, children, adolescents, and communities. She has worked in Peace Corps, WHO, non-profits, refugee, disaster, and conflict settings, as well as outbreaks and epidemics in multiple countries. As a nurse, Lisa has worked clinically in pediatric hospitals, community, academic, and crisis settings.

Recent Global Health Projects

1) CORE Group Polio Project- A 25-year, multi-country USAID flagship program in 7 countries, eradicating polio, community-based surveillance, routine immunization, and One Health approach to global health security

2) Small grants for Scaled Impact- a 10-year project supporting civil society with small grants to improve women, adolescents and children's sexual and reproductive health.
