Bio statement

I'm a cardiothoracic radiologist. Formerly, I trained in surgery in Britain and worked in a remote outpost in Australia, before transitioning to radiology and moving to the US. I'm interested in creative writing, imaging adoption, artificial intelligence, and health policy. I have traveled extensively in the hills of India, Nepal, and Tibet. I work with private industry and NGOs to improve access to medical imaging in remote areas, particularly those at high altitudes. I also study the adoption of AI in LMICs

Recent global health projects

1. I led a team to Everest Base Camp, Nepal, to deliver AI-enabled chest X-rays to improve access to healthcare for the local Sherpa communities.

2. I advised the Ministry of Health in Nepal and BP Koirala institute in Dharan on the choice and best placement of CT scans in Eastern Nepal. I traveled with a team, met several physicians, assessed infrastructure, and connected the stakeholders with private industry.
