Bio statement
Valeria K. Sepulveda, MD, is an Otorhinolaryngology resident at University of Chile. Her clinical practice and research focus on the development, evaluation, and implementation of surgical simulation training programs aiming to enhance surgical skills among residents while prioritizing patient safety in real-world medical settings.
Since 2021, she has collaborated with multidisciplinary teams in the development and validation of diverse 3D-printed surgical simulation models and training programs for Otorhinolaryngology residents, aiming to optimize the adoption of these training models within healthcare institutions.
Additionally, she participated in the Summer Visiting Fellows program at the Center for Global Health (CGH), as well as in the Implementation Science Institute at UPenn. These experiences have furthered her commitment to advancing healthcare quality and accessibility through innovative educational approaches and evidence-based decision-making.
