Bio statement
Victoria Mui, MD is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania, where she serves as Associate Program Director of the HUP OB/GYN Residency Program and OB/GYN Curriculum Lead for the VinUni-UPenn partnership. She is the founding director of both the Global Women's Health Fellowship and the Global Health Equity Residency Track.
Dr. Mui's international experience is extensive and varied, encompassing midwifery collaborations in Guatemala, surgical training projects in Guyana, and a year-long faculty appointment at Gulu University in northern Uganda. She is a former MGH Global Health Clinical Fellow through Seed Global Health-Peace Corps. Her global health interests are focused on medical education, capacity-building, and advanced training in women's health and global surgery.
Locally, Dr. Mui serves as a faculty mentor for the Center for Surgical Health and supports initiatives aimed at improving access and health outcomes in underserved communities. She is a dedicated champion for women's global health within her department and beyond.

Safer Cesarean Delivery Project: A Train-the-Trainer Program in Tanzania
We are partners with Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences to implement a surgical training program to improve maternal surgical outcomes using virtual reality.
Vin University Medical School: Curriculum development and faculty mentorship in OB/GYN clinical clerkships
I am mentoring fellows in the following projects:
- Reproductive health and sexual violence in the asylum-seeking migrant population in Mexico City, Mexico
- The impact of a residency program on maternal mortality in Gabarone, Botswana
- Implementation and accessibility of the FIGO postpartum passport in Gabarone, Botswana
