PSOM Master's and Certificate Transcripts
Submitting Official Transcripts
All admitted students must submit official transcripts showing completed coursework and degrees. Electronic transcripts are preferred, but paper transcripts are accepted.
Electronic Transcript Requests
Electronic transcripts must be sent directly by your previous institution or its authorized provider; only Blue Ribbon–certified transcripts may be submitted directly by applicants (see Program Contact Directory below).
Please check with your prior institution for instructions on how to request transcripts. Most institutions use one of the following services:
- National Student Clearinghouse (NSC)
- Search for your previous institution
- Enter your personal details
- When prompted to enter a recipient, use the following selections:
- Sending to: College or University
- Country: United States
- State: Pennsylvania
- School: University of Pennsylvania
- Department: Graduate Admissions – Perelman (PSOM) PhD, Master’s, and Certificates
- Parchment
- Search for your previous institution
- Enter your personal details
- When prompted to enter a recipient, select “University of Pennsylvania - PSOM PhD, Master’s, and Certificates" Type “PSOM” to narrow the search.
Alternative Electronic Transcript Services
If your institution uses an electronic service other than National Student Clearinghouse or Parchment, transcripts must be sent directly to the email address listed in the Program Contact Directory below.
Paper Transcripts
Send final official paper transcripts, issued by the institution and reflecting all completed coursework and degrees, to the mailing address listed for your program in the Program Contact Directory below. Transcripts must be sent directly by the institution or mailed by the applicant in the original sealed envelope, which must not be opened to remain official.

International Institutions
If you attended an institution outside the United States, a course‑by‑course credential evaluation is required. This evaluation replaces the requirement to submit original international transcripts.
We recommend World Education Services (WES), but evaluations from any NACES or AICE member are accepted.
World Education Services (WES)
Instructions:
- Create a WES account. Select the United States as the country of evaluation.
- Request a course-by-course evaluation (or ICAP, if required by the program).
- Add University of Pennsylvania as a recipient. Select the appropriate program.
- Arrange for official transcripts to be sent directly to WES per WES requirements.
Please note:
- Transcripts sent directly to the University of Pennsylvania will not satisfy this requirement.
- Applications remain incomplete until the WES evaluation is received.
- Processing times vary. Applicants should plan accordingly.
Alternative Credential Evaluators
If the evaluator requires an email address for delivery, use your program’s electronic transcript address listed above.
If mailed, the evaluation must be sent directly by the evaluation agency to your program in a sealed envelope.
