Mission and Vision

Mission

The Mood and Anxiety Disorders Treatment and Research Program at the University of Pennsylvania strives for excellence in treatment and research. We are committed to providing the highest level of psychiatric care to patients while contributing to cutting-edge research in the advancement of psychiatric medication and treatment.

Working with patients toward these goals, we provide care through research-oriented treatments using psychiatric medication and psychotherapy. These studies are commonly outpatient studies which help determine the efficacy and usefulness of new or improved medication, psychotheraphy, and combined treatments.

For the majority of our studies we are able to provide free treatment to those who qualify in exchange for research participation.

Vision

Our vision is to grow and expand our current opportunities for treatment, providing free and low-cost treatment to those who suffer from mood and anxiety disorders. We will continue to provide the highest quality of treatment available while furthering knowledge in psychiatric research.
