Dr. Roque Barboza was a pulmonary fellow in the lab exploring the evolution of fibroblast subtypes in pulmonary fibrosis. His expertise in bioinformatics was critical for multiple projects in the lab while also helping in the generation of novel hypothesis that the lab is actively exploring.

Prior to studying for his doctorate at The University of Chicago, Dr. Scanlon worked on projects related to lung collectins and inflammation. He is currently Associate Editor of Immunology at Science and holds an adjunct appointment at Cambridge University.
