MATLAB® is a high-level language and interactive environment for numerical computation, visualization, and programming. Using MATLAB, you can analyze data, develop algorithms, and create models and applications. The language, tools, and built-in math functions enable you to explore multiple approaches and reach a solution faster than with spreadsheets or traditional programming languages, such as C/C++ or Java™.

Eligibility & Licensing

MATLAB Licenses can be requested for PSOM faculty, staff, and students via the below form. Licenses are valid for the fiscal year they are purchased within (i.e. September 1, 2026 to August 31, 2027). Licensed faculty and academic staff may also install and use a copy on one personally owned computer. An email with activation instructions will be sent after the license is provisioned.

Faculty and staff licenses are available at the below rates. Student licenses are available free of charge.

Individual License: 300$ / License

Concurrent License: 450$ / License
