Mentoring
Pathway students will participate in class-specific mentoring groups. Each group has a family medicine, general internal medicine, and pediatric attending Mentoring Group leader. In addition, it is strongly encouraged to find a one-on-one mentor. The Pathway has education on finding and developing mentor relationships and a database of faculty interested in serving as a one-on-one mentor.
Pathway students have access to primary-care-related interest groups and national resources (see Student Resources) for students pursuing primary care.

One-on-One Mentoring
All students will be connected with a Pathway Director as an Advisor. In addition, we highly recommend that all students connect with a faculty mentor. Mentors can help offer guidance about specialties and other primary care opportunities, such as quality and safety, the social determinants of health and care for vulnerable patient populations, business in medicine, technology in medicine, innovation in primary care, global health, medical education, and more.
For current students, more information on mentoring can be found on Canvas.
