Education

  • Education is integral to the brainSTIM Center's mission to research, repair, and enhance human brain function through neuromodulation. Just as the Center fosters collaboration across departmental and institutional boundaries, we are committed to training the next generation of neuroscientists, clinicians, and engineers and to sharing advances in non-invasive brain stimulation with the broader scientific and medical community. Each fall, the Center hosts its intensive three-day Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Workshop, which offers participants hands-on instruction in the scientific foundations, safety principles, and practical applications of TMS. The Center also offers a Continuing Medical Education (CME) course on non-invasive brain stimulation, designed to keep practicing clinicians informed about emerging evidence and therapeutic applications in the field. In addition, the brainSTIM Center provides training opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students, medical students, residents, fellows, and postdoctoral researchers, who work alongside our faculty and center scientists to build expertise in neuromodulation research and clinical translation.
