Dorothy L. Leung serves as Chief of Staff to the Dean, Secretary of the Penn Medicine Board, and Associate Dean of Administration for the Perelman School of Medicine [PSOM] at the University of Pennsylvania. She graduated with her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Stanford University and began her career as a management consultant for Deloitte Consulting in Los Angeles, focusing on strategy and operations.
In her current positions, Dorothy serves as a strategic partner and leader in advancing the missions of Penn Medicine, working closely with faculty and staff, including at the University. She oversees efficiency and integration efforts across PSOM and the health system, strategic planning, space management, and multiple communication initiatives.
Dorothy started her career at PSOM in 2008 as an Associate Director in Research Planning and Management and was promoted to Director in 2010, before being appointed Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice Dean and Chief Scientific Officer in 2015. Her work in these roles has earned her three separate recognitions on Models of Excellence teams, the highest staff honor bestowed by the University.
