BIO STATEMENT

Dr Maurizio Trevisan is a Professor at Universita Campus Biomedico. He is a cardiovascular disease epidemiologist interested in ways to prevent CVD through changes in life style habits. He has been engaged in a number of international epidemiological collaborative studies. In his current position in Vietnam, he is focused on Chronic Disease prevention in a country in transition with a significant shift in the leading causes of mortality and morbidity. As a researcher, he has authored more than 250 publications, which have appeared in such high-impact journals as the "Journal of the American Medical Association," "Annals of Internal Medicine" and "The New England Journal of Medicine."  He has extensive experience directing and conducting multi-center and international collaborative studies, as well.

Recent Global Health Projects

Establish a new medical school in Vietnam, and analyze COVID experience in Vietnam. More information on the Vingroup-Penn Alliance can be found here

He is also engaged in global health projects relating to emerging risk factors and cardiovascular disease.
