Our Impact
Our Impact
- Our work is built on a foundation of proven results. Here is our impact by the numbers:
- Scale of Our Reach: We have implemented CBT in more than 100 behavioral health programs, 4 state systems, and several low- and middle-income countries. Our services are available in English and Spanish and have been refined to be culturally responsive.
- Expertise Developed: We have trained more than 2,000 clinicians and 400 milieu staff to apply CBT principles within their scope of work.
- Demonstrated Competence: Clinicians’ average CBT competency scores have doubled over the course of training, with 84% demonstrating full competence equivalent to that in clinical trials.
- Sustainable Skills: Close to 90% of clinicians who pursue recertification sustain their competence for at least two years.
- Reduced Burnout & Turnover: Our model has excellent retention, with fewer than 5% dropping out. Turnover among participating clinicians (13.5%) is significantly lower than the community standard (30-60%).
- Cost-Effective Scalability: After initial training, web-based tools support sustainability and increased capacity using less than 7% of the resources required for in-person training.
- AI in Practice: We have implemented AI-based supervision tools that measure CBT competence in a number of community mental health organizations. This work centers the voices of the public mental health system in the development of these tools and rigorously evaluates their impact on training and clinical outcomes.
- Improved Patient Outcomes: In milieu settings, the application of CBT skills has led to a decreased need for costly one-on-one staffing and a reduction in the use of mechanical restraint by almost 50%.
