Yi-Chien Ku, PhD

Yi-Chien Ku received his Ph.D. from the Department of Criminology, Chung Cheng University (CCU). He has worked at Crime Prevention Research Center, Ministry of Justice of Taiwan as a research fellow. He has been supported by the Postdoctoral Research Abroad Program (PRAP) from the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) to start research in HIV Prevention Research Division Department of Psychiatry, Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania. Yi-Chien does research in Criminology, Drug Crime and Social Psychology.  He is involved in the design and implementation of a study funded by the Penn Mental Health AIDS Research Center that assessed the prevalence of HIV infection and the severity of opioid used disorder. Yi-Chien is also an active member of the research team testing a new strategy for engaging individuals in medication-assisted treatment for opioid use disorder. This project (Project RIDE) is funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
