How to Set Up An iLab Account

Perspective new core users should contact Marty Keough to discuss the needs of the project.

The Stem Cell & Xenograft Core uses Agilent's iLab for scheduling equipment, requesting services, and billing.  All core users will need to register for an iLab login and provide the appropriate payment information before services may be rendered. Instructions for registration and using iLab to schedule equipment or request core services are described below and on the Biomedical Research Core Facilities website, here.

Users from Penn labs must have access to a valid budget code in Central Account Management Services (CAMS) in order to schedule equipment or request services.  Instructions for requesting access in CAMS may be found here.

Users from CHOP, Wistar, or other academic or corporate organizations must provide a purchase order (PO) number and a purchase order form to the core before any services can be provided. This can either be done by the user after registering for an iLab account OR the information can be emailed to Marty Keough.

  1. Navigate to the Core's iLab page.

  2. In the upper-right-hand corner of the screen, select the ‘Register using UPenn Credentials’ option.

  3. You will be directed to an authentication page. You will need to enter your PennKey username and password.

  4. Once you have entered your credentials, click the ‘Login’ button.

  5. You will be directed to an iLab Registration page. Please select your PI/Lab and verify your contact information.

  6. Once your registration has been submitted, your PI will receive a notification that you have requested membership to their lab in iLab.  They will need to approve your membership. Your business administrator needs to approve CAMS access to a budget code.

  7. IMPORTANT:  Users will not be able to view the reservation calendar for an instrument until you are added to the Core's customer list and given "trained" status on that piece of equipment. If you have been trained already, email Marty Keough to request this.

  1. Complete the registration form on the sign-up page.

  2. You will receive a Welcome Email from iLab (typically within one business day) with login credentials.

  3. PO information may either be uploaded directly to iLab by the user (preferred) or emailed to Marty Keough if additional assistance is required. PO must be approved by the Core before any requests can be placed by the user. If a quote is needed to generate a PO, please send an email request to Marty Keough first.

  4. IMPORTANT: Users will not be able to view the reservation calendar for an instrument until you are added to the Core's customer list and given "trained" status on that piece of equipment. If you have been trained already, email Marty Keough to request this.
