The Unit for Experimental Psychiatry at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia is currently recruiting individuals for the following studies:
Astronaut Mission Simulation
This 8-day study aims to research resilience to spaceflight in 4-person teams confined in an isolation chamber at the Univ. of Pennsylvania. Must be healthy, about 27-55 years old, with a STEM education (MS, or BS + equivalent experience) or military experience. Financial compensation will be provided for time and travel.
Sleep Quality Study
This 7-day lab study aims to research how SmartSleep technology settings can improve sleep quality and cognitive performance. Must be healthy, about 30-55 years old, preferably with a STEM education or military experience. Financial compensation will be provided for time and travel.
Please note that we can only accept participants who live or work within driving distance of Philadelphia.
Participants must be non-smokers, physically and mentally healthy, and have stable sleep patterns. Participants may also be required to undergo a brief telephone screening and 1 to 4 laboratory evaluations in order to determine eligibility for the study. Remuneration is dependent upon the time commitment.
