Driving to the University of Pennsylvania
From the northeast via the New Jersey Turnpike South
Use Exit 4. Bear right out of the toll following signs to Philadelphia and Ben Franklin Bridge. After crossing the bridge take I-676 West, to I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway. Follow I-76 East to Exit 346-A (old exit number 40) - South Street (a left-lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus.
From the west via the Pennsylvania Turnpike
On the PA turnpike, use Exit 326, the Valley Forge Interchange. Take I-76 East for approximately 17 miles until Exit 346A, a left lane exit marked South Street. Turn right onto South Street to enter campus.
From the north via I-95 South
Use the I-676/Center City Philadelphia Exit. Follow signs to I-676 West, the Vine Street Expressway. Take I-676 West until I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway. Follow I-76 East until Exit 346-A (old exit number 40) - South Street (a left-lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus.
From the south via I-95 North
Use the I-676/Center City Philadelphia Exit, which is approximately 7 miles north of the airport. Follow I-676 West, the Vine Street Expressway, until I-76 East, the Schuylkill Expressway. Follow I-76 East until Exit 346-A (old exit number 40) - South Street (a left-lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus.
From the airport
The Philadelphia International Airport is located in the Southwest section of the city, approximately twenty minutes from the University of Pennsylvania campus. Visitors driving from the airport should take I-95 North to the I-676/Center City Philadelphia exit, which is approximately seven miles north of the airport. Follow I-676 West (the Vine Street Expressway) until I-76 East (the Schuylkill Expressway). Follow I-76 East until Exit 346-A (old exit number 40) -- South Street (a left-lane exit). Turn right onto South Street to enter campus. Convenient train service from the airport to Penn Medicine Station and 30th Street Station is available through SEPTA's Airport Line and runs approximately every 30 minutes.
Parking
The public parking garage nearest to our office is immediately adjacent, at the 3600 Civic Center Boulevard Garage. Check here for rates and availability.
Penn Facilities has a map of public parking lots on campus. These include:
- Parking garage at 38th & Walnut Streets
- Outdoor lot at 34th & Chestnut Streets
- Parking garage at South Street & Convention Avenue
- Parking garage at 40th & Walnut Streets
Street parking on campus is limited. When available, metered spots can be paid via phone by text or the ParkMobile app.
Public Transit Options
Train
Penn Medicine Station, on SEPTA's Airport Regional Rail line, is the nearest train stop, located across from the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
William H. Gray III 30th St. Station is another close option, as it is a major departure point for commuter trains, trolleys and buses serving the University City community. 30th St. Station is most easily accessed through SEPTA’s 
Market-Frankford Line running east/west on Market Street. The Market-Frankford can be reached by commuters from north/south of the city through a free interchange with the Broad Street Subway at 15th & Market streets.
Buses & Trolleys
Three major bus lines serve our location, taking riders from Center City and West Philadelphia to Civic Center Blvd: Routes 30, 42, and 49. Additionally, Routes 21 and 40 serve the Penn campus.
Five trolley lines (Routes 10, 11, 13, 34, 36) serve the West Philadelphia area.
Travel from New Jersey
NJ TRANSIT operates an extensive bus network of intra- and interstate routes throughout New Jersey and into New York and Philadelphia. The system serves the region's commercial centers with commuter runs to and from Manhattan, Newark, Jersey City, Trenton, Camden, Atlantic City and Philadelphia.
