ea Dr. Schutta is involved in several research areas including the effects of bariatric surgery on diabetes remission and the association between coronary calcification and cardiovascular risk in type 2 diabetic patients.65
Description of Clinical Expertise
1c1 Dr. Schutta specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes and hypoglycemia disorders. Dr. Schutta predominantly cares for patients with pre-diabetes, type 1 and type 2 diabetes as well as post-transplantation diabetes. He has a particular interest in diabetes prevention and in-patient management of diabetes and hyperglycemia. Dr. Schutta presently serves as Medical Director of the Penn Rodebaugh Diabetes Center.1a 29
