Description of Research Expertise
Dr. Reddy’s research focuses on a) understanding barriers to home dialysis, b) developing implementation strategies to improve home dialysis use, and c) evaluating the impact of health policy in kidney disease. He is conducting a mixed-methods study to identify major home dialysis barriers (the IM HOME study K12 HS026372) and is evaluating the health equity impact of a mandatory Medicare payment model on home dialysis use (LDI pilot fund). He is a member of the American Society of Nephrology Quality Committee and the Home Dialysis Task Force. His research draws from methodologies in health services research and implementation science.Dr. Reddy received his MBBS degree from Sri Ramachandra Medical College & Research Institute and his MPH degree from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Boston Medical Center and his Nephrology fellowship at Mass General Brigham. His research has been funded by the NIH, AHRQ, VA, LDI, and the American Society of Nephrology.
