Penn CFAR Investigator
Penn CFAR Investigator membership is available to faculty who have an active interest in HIV/AIDS research and have an appointment (including adjunct) at one of the Penn CFAR collaborating institutions (University of Pennsylvania, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Wistar Institute). Investigator benefits include:
- Eligible for CFAR pilots and microgrants
- Priority access to core services, facilities, and mentoring with discounted or free pricing
- Access to structured Community Advisory Board consultation on HIV/AIDS research proposals
- Access to a local and national network of HIV/AIDS investigators
- Funding announcements about grant opportunities
- Updates on HIV-related research and news
- Invitations to attend Penn CFAR events, including seminars, symposia, and workshops
CFAR Affiliate Investigator
Penn CFAR Affiliate Investigator membership is available to faculty with an active interest in HIV/AIDS research and who have an appointment at one of the Penn CFAR affiliated partners (University of Botswana, the Philadelphia Department of Public Health, and Philadelphia FIGHT). Affiliate Investigator benefits include:
- Priority access to core services, facilities, and mentoring with discounted or free pricing
- Invitations to attend Penn CFAR events, including seminars, symposia, and workshops
- Access to structured Community Advisory Board consultation on HIV/AIDS research proposals
- Access to a local and national network of HIV/AIDS investigators
- Funding announcements about grant opportunities
- Updates on HIV-related research and news
- Eligible to apply, in collaboration with Penn CFAR investigators, for CFAR pilots and microgrants
Collaborating Investigator
Penn CFAR Collaborating Investigator membership is available for faculty from non-Penn CFAR collaborating institutions who have an interest in HIV/AIDS research, doctoral-level HIV/AIDS researchers at non-academic organizations, and HIV/AIDS physicians who are not from a Penn CFAR collaborating institution. Affiliate investigator benefits include:
- Invitations to attend Penn CFAR events, including seminars, symposia, and workshops
- Consideration for access to core services and facilities depending on availability
- Consideration for access to structured Community Advisory Board consultation on HIV/AIDS research proposals
- Participation in a local and national network of HIV/AIDS investigators
- Funding announcements about grant opportunities
- Updates on HIV-related research and news
Associate Member
Associate Membership is available to post-doctoral fellows, graduate students and undergraduate students in the Philadelphia area who are interested in HIV/AIDS research. Associate member benefits include:
- Invitations to attend Penn CFAR events, including seminars, symposia, and workshops
- Special events for students and trainees regarding career opportunities, education, and training
- Funding announcements about grant opportunities
- Updates on HIV-related research and news
Community Member
Community Membership is available to members of the HIV/AIDS community in Philadelphia, including members of HIV/AIDS community-based organizations. Community member benefits include:
- Updates on HIV-related research and news
- Invitations to attend Penn CFAR events, including seminars, symposia, and workshops
- Introduction to CFAR Community Advisory Board
