Mission

The mission of the Aging with HIV Scientific Working Group (SWG) is to bring together researchers, clinicians, community members, and public health partners to improve how people with HIV experience aging. With a focus on generating new knowledge, building collaborations, and translating research into practice, our multidisciplinary endeavors aim to close health gaps and support longer, healthier lives for people aging with HIV.

 

Goals of the SWG

  • Advance research on the biological, clinical, social, and economic aspects of aging with HIV
  • Foster interdisciplinary and community-engaged collaborations
  • Support and mentor the next generation of HIV and aging researchers
  • Partner with public health agencies and community organizations to identify unmet needs and research priorities
  • Translate research findings into real-world policies, programs, and care improvements

  • Collaborative writing groups for grants, publications
