Attention: Significant Security Vulnerability CVE-2023-7024 Affecting Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge

Penn Medicine Academic Computing Services and Penn Medicine Information Services has been made aware of a global Google/Microsoft security vulnerability that requires the immediate upgrade of Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge browsers within the Penn Medicine environment. These upgrades will take place over the next 24-72 hours. There is no expected impact to your daily use of applications and/or technologies.

While many web browsers are set to automatically update, we strongly encourage everyone using computers not supported by PMACS or Penn Medicine Information Services to take steps to verify their browser is updated to at least one of the versions below:

Google Chrome: Version 120.0.6099.129 (Mac / Linux); Version 120.0.6099.129/130 (Windows)
Microsoft Edge: Version 120.0.2210.91
