Two-Step for O365 Email – Policy Enforcement on August 1, 2023
University O365 Two-Step Authentication - Final Notice
We are writing to you because our records show that you currently do not have PennKey Two-Step enabled for your O365 mail account.
You must enable Two-Step for O365 before August 1 or you will not be able to access your university email account. Please follow the instructions below.
Two-Step for O365 Email Instructions
- Follow these instructions to enable Two-Step on your O365 account:
- https://www.isc.upenn.edu/how-to/penno365-two-step-verification#Self-enrollment-application (see the Self-Enrollment Application tab)
- When logging in with Two-Step for O365, all you need to do is complete a normal Two-Step authentication when prompted by your email client.
- One difference is that if you normally use Duo Push to log in, you will need to interact with the login screen to have a push notice sent rather than having one be sent automatically.
- Using Duo as your authenticator application works best. Please try using Duo rather than Google Authenticator or another method before calling for support.
- Your mail client may occasionally prompt you to authenticate with Two-Step again.
